To gain the most from a hospital stay, the patient’s willing participation in their treatment program is essential. At El Dorado Springs Behavioral Health, the patient and their attending psychiatrist head up our interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
The staff nurses attend to each patient’s medical needs and provide education to assist in managing both psychiatric and physical illnesses. Nurses are available 24 hours per day.
Care partners assist with activities of daily living as needed. They also provide support for therapeutic activities throughout the day.
Our primary therapists provide group, individual, and family therapy as ordered in each patient’s treatment plan. They also assist the family with making decisions regarding transition and aftercare plans.
The recreational therapist provides therapeutic groups each day aimed at increasing the patient’s level of activity and involvement in their treatment and healing.
